Project Finance Director, MMEX Resources Corporation
Nabil Katabi leads project finance and commercial structuring for MMEX Resources Corporation, with responsibility for capital formation, financial negotiations with lenders and private equity partners, and commercial and offtake negotiations with multinational companies and international trading organizations.
Mr. Katabi has been with MMEX and related entities since 1998. His experience includes the Aguaytía gas and power project in Peru and the acquisition of Maple Energy’s refining assets in the Peruvian Amazon. He also directed the development and financing of a greenfield sugarcane-to-ethanol project on Peru’s northern coast and participated in the public-market financing of Peruvian operations through the London Stock Exchange’s AIM market.
At MMEX, Mr. Katabi is currently focused on the development and financing of refining, midstream and power projects in the West Texas Permian Basin. His responsibilities include capital structuring, lender and investor engagement, strategic partnerships, and commercial and offtake arrangements supporting project development and execution. Mr. Katabi holds an MBA from Columbia Business School, a Master’s degree in Political Science and International Relations from La Sorbonne in Paris, and a degree in Economics and Finance from École Supérieure de Commerce de Paris
